Former
Ultimate Fighting Championship title challenger Marlon Moraes now addresses real-life situations as seen in a recent South Florida traffic stop.
Viral footage circulating on social media shows Moraes, now a police officer, dealing with a driver who repeatedly confronted and verbally challenged him. After several warnings to back off, the man moved towards Moraes, who responded by taking him down.

The incident took place on March 27. Moraes joined the Davie Police Department in Florida in June 2024 before moving to the Coral Springs Police Department that same year.
In the viral footage, the situation escalates after the driver repeatedly insults Moraes and another officer. Moraes warns him not to get any closer before finally bringing him to the ground with a hip throw where other officers move to handcuff him.
The case adds another chapter to Moraes’ unusual post-fight career, which has seen him transition into law enforcement while also returning to mixed martial arts competition. The Brazilian left the UFC in 2023 on a seven-fight losing streak. He won
Maximiliano Perez by unanimous decision on August 28, returning after three years of competition to record his first win since 2019.
