Anthony Wint challenges Sean Sharaf to fight after UFC 332 knockout
Wint took aim at Sharaf in his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan UFC 334 In New York, which is the perfect place for a collision. Speaking to reporters at the post-fight press conference, “Bow Down” admitted that the November card at Madison Square Garden may already be full, but still wants to fight Sharaf in the Big Apple.
“I want to fight in New York and obviously it’s short notice, it’s hard to get, especially on the biggest card of the year,” Wint said.
Wint also insisted that there is no animosity between the two, revealing that Sharaf previously gave him a ride from the UFC Performance Institute to his hotel.
“There’s no beef between me and Sean, so I hope people don’t build it that way,” Wint added. “He actually gave me a lift from the PI to the hotel while I was there, so we had a good chat about his journey.”
Sharaf’s profile has skyrocketed since Steveson’s massive upset and his fan base has swelled, something Wint is keen to capitalize on.
“He’s got a big fan base now; they’re like, ‘No, Sean, go out there and knock this guy out again,’ and I think that’s going to make for a great fight,” Wint said. “At the end of the day, we’re in the sport, but we’re in the show. It’s the market at the end of the day, and I think that’s a huge struggle.”
