The Hornets announced the signing of the free agent guard DJ Armstrong (via Twitter).
Armstrong played last season for UMBC, averaging 16.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 33 games while shooting 46.4% from the field and leading the American Conference in three-pointers at 41.9%. He is the son of a former NBA player Darrell Armstrong.
