Like Bill Belichick, Deion Sanders had led his college team to a somewhat unexpected 2-0 start in 2026. Like Belichick, the run ended for Sanders in Week 3.
Sanders and Colorado were beaten by Northwestern, 41-7on Saturday evening in Evanston, Illinois.
Before the game, Colorado players were heard complaining about Northwestern’s current venue – Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. “This place is hellsaid one of them. “Looks like a dirty library.”
Then the game started and Deion’s team got Dewey Decimal System’d.
After the game, Sanders called the result a “flat butt kick. He attributed the loss largely to turnovers and penalties.
Colorado is now 2-1. The nine-game Big 12 schedule begins next week, with a visit to Baylor.
