Earlier this week, Riyadh Season revealed that The 2026 WWE Crown Jewel event will be moving to a new locationticket holders receive a full refund. Reporter Dave Meltzer reports since then that the November 7th premium live event will remain in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, simply moving to the nearby Kingdom Arena.
On “Wrestling Observer Radio”, Meltzer provided additional reasons why. “They were building a stadium, Riyadh Season Stadium. It was outside and the WWE show was going to be there. They announced the move. I don’t even know if it’s officially announced, but they’re moving to the Kingdom Arena, which is the same building where the Canelo Alvarez fight will be held on Saturday. Some people thought it was bigger when it was first announced. inside than outside, which makes sense all over the world,” Meltzer said. “So they’re going to move the show indoors?”
The location of the Crown Jewel has been greatly questioned due to the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East in recent months. Originally, the PLE was to be held at the Riyadh Season Stadium, a temporary outdoor venue. Meanwhile, the Kingdom Arena is a 30,000-seat indoor venue.
WWE has hosted multiple shows from the Kingdom Arena in the past, including the 2025 and 2026 Night of Champions PLEs. Crown Jewel’s upcoming show has four confirmed dates so far, three of which are revolve around championships.
