Stephanie Walker’s absence from WWE Raw this week Reportedly associated with diseaserather than injury. However, the timetable for his return remains uncertain.
On”Wrestling Observer Radio” reporter Dave Meltzer provided more details on the situation surrounding the former WWE Women’s World Champion. “He’s sick. I was told it’s not terribly serious or anything, but he’s sick and he’s out (indefinitely),” Meltzer said. “Uncertain, in the sense that it’s not a week, it’s something more serious. I don’t even have to say it, it’s still an uncertain thing until he comes back. But that’s not why they did that meeting. It wasn’t about an injury, and it wasn’t a serious illness. They were sick Monday night. why they did Becky Lynch-Liv Morgan and that’s why they did the DQ (finish) because they didn’t want to beat Becky Lynch.”
Originally, plans called for Walker to face Becky Lynch in a match to determine the new number one contender for the Women’s World Championship, a title currently held by Liv Morgan. After Raw GM Adam Pearce revealed that Wacker had not been medically cleared to competethey then switched to a live title match between Lynch and Morgan in the main event of the show.
Morgan went on to retain his title Due to the interference of his Doomsday stablemates Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, and in turn causing disqualification. If Walker hadn’t been sick, it’s unclear if he would have been the one to challenge Morgan.
