A new episode of Dark Side of the Ring featuring legendary wrestling manager Jim Cornette has premiered on the show’s YouTube page, with the first topic being a controversial WWE angle.
Cornette has appeared in many episodes of The Dark Side of the Ring, from Season 1 of the show in 2019 to its latest season, Season 7, which aired this year. In a new YouTube series called “The cornet side of the ringThe veteran manager opened up about Katie Vick’s controversial storyline that aired back in 2002 in a video titled “When WWE Tried Necr*philia.”
“Legendary wrestling manager and historian Jim Cornette relives pro wrestling’s gruesome, infamous and unforgettable moments, offering his unfiltered perspective and opinions in the companion series to Dark Side of the Ring,” reads a description of the new series.
In the episode, Cornette introduced viewers to the storyline before criticizing it, claiming it caused him to stop watching WWE. Katie Vick’s storyline involving Hall of Famer Kane and Triple H was discussed by many and caused; great angerand it’s a thing that might not have ever been established in the present age.
Many involved in the segment expressed embarrassment, e.g Former WWE Creative Director David Sahadiwhile former WWE commentator and backstage interviewer Jonathan Coachman he admitted that he regretted taking part in it.
