Oregon quarterback Dante Moore is the likely first overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, but he had a rough outing today.
Moore and Oregon lost 39-31 to Oklahoma State by 24 points today, with Moore completing less than 50 percent of his passes: Moore completed 14 of 29 for 191 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
How big a surprise is that? Oregon entered today ranked No. 6 in the nation. Oklahoma State entered today on a 12-game losing streak, the longest in the nation. Never before in college football history has a team on a losing streak of more than 10 games defeated an opponent in the Top 10. Last year Oregon beat Oklahoma State 69-3.
Moore had moments where he showed off his elite wing talent, including touchdown passes of 38 and 36 yards. But he also struggled with his accuracy and had a hard time dealing with Oklahoma State’s pass rush.
A bad game doesn’t mean Moore won’t be a top pick, but for a highly touted prospect, today was a huge disappointment.
