According to Hearn, White cannot interfere in the fight without his consent due to contractual restrictions. The head of Matchroom Boxing recently said Sela, one of the companies promoting the fight, gave him White’s number to set up the fight. Although Hearn claims he texted White, he said White did not respond.

9th week at the press conference, the CEO of Zuffa Boxing said that he sees no reason to meet with the English promoter.
“There is absolutely zero confusion,” White said. “Everything I’ve said, no matter how long I’ve been saying it, is true. And now she’s ready to meet me. About what? What should we meet for?”
White has said he will work on televising the fight. Meanwhile, Hearn claims that Sela has assured him that White is contractually prohibited from handling the production. Responding to Hearn, White suggested that Hearn may have grounds for a lawsuit.

White again doubled down on his involvement in the fight, making sure he was in charge of the production. White said he will be in Cardiff fighting with his production team before they fly back to Las Vegas the next day. UFC 335.
“I produce the fight, I promote the fight,” White repeated. “I’ll be there for the fight. And then I’ll be flying right back to Vegas for the UFC fight. And all my producers and producers are flying with me. We already had a meeting yesterday… Now this is so damn stupid. And that you’re even asking me these questions.”
White also expressed frustration with reporters repeatedly asking him about Hearn. He said the fight is between Fury and Joshua, not him and Hearn.
“It’s not me and him. He can’t stop talking about it. AJ and Fury are fighting. Who’s talking about me and Eddie Hearn but you guys… Me and Eddie are not the same. We’re not even close as hell.”
