Piwowarczyk stopped the previously undefeated Quissua with strikes at the 4:55 mark of the opening round after overcoming his opponent’s early surge. The win drew praise from the UFC CEO
Dana Whitewho contracted with him.
Piwowarczyk later reflected on the win and the accomplishment.
“It was really great. It’s one of the best moments of my life,” Piwowarczyk said in a post-fight interview. “I put a lot of work into this moment. My camp is really long, three or four months… I just worked a lot to be in the best shape here.”
Piwowarczyk previously made a name for himself
