White claims he “absolutely” knew it was “Drago” but played along for “stick.” White waited for Volkov — who was fielding questions from the crowd about his UFC title shot — to drop the curtain with a well-timed punch.
“I totally knew,” White said The main event. “That made Volkanovski so mad — he asked me twice. He’s like, ‘You know it’s Volkov, right?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’
“He’s (in the mix),” White added. “He doesn’t have to do anything to get close to a title shot. He’s in it now, everything you said is dead and he’s going to get his shot. Sometimes people get in these weird positions where they feel like they’re in no man’s land, but it’s just a matter of timing.”
