Dade County Sheriff’s Office filed Hugo Guillon September 15th at Meta Apex in Las Vegas with a rear naked airlock at 1:01 of the second round to earn
Ultimate Fighting Championship contract.
Luis Hernandez goes 8-0 on Hugo Guillon in week 6 of the DWCS
The middleweight bout between Hernandez and Guillon began with Hernandez closing the distance and taking down his opponent. The latter worked Hernandez to his feet before judo throwing him to the canvas.
The pace stayed high throughout the opening round and picked up in the second frame. Hernandez survived Guillon’s submission attempt and soon found himself in a dominant position. He then took Guillon’s back and locked the rear naked choke, forcing the tap.
“It feels surreal,” Hernandez, now 8-0, said in his post-fight interview. “It’s been a long time with all the work I’ve put in, all the sacrifices, my family, my wife, my teammates and just the fruits of the labor finally paying off.”
