Women’s flyweight title fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Natalia Silva rumored for UFC 332, but recent reports indicate that Shevchenko has been forced to withdraw. With other UFC champions having recently fought or already booked for later events, the promotion appears to be looking for a viable title.
Cyborg has provided a solution. The former UFC champion went to X to demand a rematch with his former foe Nunes. It was assumed that the latter would adopt Kayla Harrison earlier this year, but Harrison’s neck injury sidelined the game.
“(Amanda Nunes) is tired of waiting for (Kayla Harrison)?” Cyborg wrote X. “Want to save a UFC event?”
They originally met at
UFC 232 in December 2018, when Nunes emerged victorious and became a double champion. “The Lioness” retired in 2023, while Cyborg last competed at
PFL Tampa On August 22. defeating Ketlen Vieira by unanimous decision in what was to be his final mixed martial arts match.
