September 28: Curaçao, Haiti and the Dominican Republic have taken a clear lead in the race for the Concacaf Nations League quarter-finals and qualification for the 2027 Gold Cup. All three teams have won both of their A League matches.
Haiti opened the action with a 2-0 win against Costa Rica at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde opened the scoring with a right-footed shot in the 9th minute. An own goal by Francisco Calvo in the 39th minute ended the rebuilding of the Costa Ricans.
At the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad, Curaçao, the hosts overcame Nicaragua with a 6-1 victory.
Haiti had opened their campaign with a win over Trinidad and Tobago.
Kenji Gorré scored two goals and joined Livano Comenencia, Leandro Bacuna, Juninho Bacuna and Jürgen Locadia on the score sheet.
Jaime Moreno pulled one back for Nicaragua.
In their first match, Curaçao beat Costa Rica.
The Dominican Republic followed up their win over Nicaragua with a 2-1 win over Trinidad and Tobago.
Daniel Phillips opened the scoring for the Soca Warriors before the Dominican Republic pulled one back before the half-time whistle, with Mariano Díaz scoring the winner shortly after.
In Group B Jamaica, Suriname and El Salvador won their first matches.
El Salvador beat Martinique 3-1, while Suriname staged a comeback to beat Honduras 2-3 away from home.
Jamaica left it late to beat Guatemala, scoring in the 4thth minute of added time to take the three points.
