Commanders may need to add help to return this week.
Jeremy McNichols hurt his leg in Sunday night’s win over the Eagles, and coach Dan Quinn said in a news conference Monday that there is concern the injury is significant.
“They will do a few more scans like we did come through tomorrow” Quinn said, via the team’s website. “But that’s enough for us to worry about today. I’ll give you an update on Wednesday, but it’s something the team is certainly concerned about.”
Jacory Croskey-Merritt is on injured reserve and must miss at least two more games before being eligible to return in Week 11. Quinn said the two injuries add up to “something we’ll have to discuss” in the coming days.
Rachaad White and Austin Ekeler are the healthy running backs on the 53-man roster. Craig Reynolds and Devin Neal are on the practice squad.
