It’s been a tough few months Aston Villa but they have a chance to kick off their season in Belgium tonight when they face each other Club Bruges in his first match of the Champions League.
Villa won the Europa League in May but have since lost many of the key men from that win against Freiburg with six members of the starting eleven including Emiliano Martinez, Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins.
Unai Emery has brought in substitutes but they have yet to settle and Villa remain winless after three Premier League games.
Club Brugge have won four out of five in the Belgian First Division and will see this as an opportunity. The teams met in the Champions League two seasons ago with Club Brugge winning a league stage encounter at home before Villa won home and away in the last 16.
