Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne have set up a rematch for next month’s AEW Grand Slam in Paris.
Jericho defeated Wayne at last week’s AEW Dynamite and came out during Wednesday’s AEW Collision segment of the show to address The Prodigy. It wasn’t long before Wayne came out to join him in the ring, promoting himself at his opponent’s expense and prompting Jericho to question the reason for the feud.
Jericho then compared Wayne to him when he was younger and called him arrogant. Wayne stopped short of dropping the F-word in his rebuttal before admitting that despite what was said, he couldn’t accept that Jericho beat him. He said it was something that shouldn’t have happened before looking back at Jericho and telling him it was something that would never happen again.
Thus, on October 6, the challenge was made for the “Grand Slam”, which Jericho accepted with a handshake. He then stated that Wayne is not yet a man, but just a boy who is going to “take out the grief that Chris Jericho kicked out of him.”
