Canada’s remarkable journey to Women’s 2025 Rugby World Cup finale will be revisited in a new four-part documentary series offering unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to Kévin Rouet’s side.

ALL HEART: A RUGBY STORY follows Canada from their World Cup campaign to their final against England at the Allianz Stadium, where the Red Roses won 33-13.

The documentary was directed by award-winning filmmaker Kathleen Jayme. Previously, Jayme co-wrote Naomi Osaka: Second set and Finding Big Country.

Jay Baruchel (BlackBerry and How to train a dragon trilogy) is an executive producer, as is the Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip. The Tragically Hip have raised funds for Canada’s women’s rugby team with co-branded merchandise and are long-time supporters of women’s sports in Canada.

ALL HEART: A RUGBY STORY will premiere on Friday, October 9, when all four episodes will be available to stream on Bell Media’s streaming platform, Crave.

The documentary is made possible by a partnership between Rugby Canada, World Rugby and Boat Rocker Studios, providing unprecedented access. Viewers will get a first-hand look at the mix of senior and rising talent striving to take Canada to the very top of the rugby world.

The documentary is released a week before the Canadian one WXV Global Series 2026 campaign continues In October, the world’s third-ranked side will host the Red Roses on consecutive weekends at BMO Field in Toronto and TD Place in Ottawa.

Canada has already played three games in Europe in the WXV Global Series. This includes a win against Scotland, a draw with England and a 21-5 defeat France La Rochelle.

Ticket sales for the BMO Field clash in Toronto hinted at a new attendance record for a stand-alone women’s rugby match in North America.

Alexandra Tessier, Canada’s vice-captain, said in August, “I’m always excited to play at home, and it shows that women’s rugby in Canada is growing and our sport is growing.

“Every Canadian fan always gives their all and the atmosphere is always amazing when we play at home. It’s going to be an amazing day.”

“I thought we won over a lot of fans during the World Cup last year, and this confirms that we hooked them and they’re still with us and supporting us. Canadians are buying into this team and our sport. It’s amazing to see.”
