Former WWE stars Enzo Amore and Big Cass were rumored to be reuniting in May when Amore spotted at the WWE Performance Center. It was Cass, though, who made his return to the company as a heelAfter leaving AEW in August.
Since then, fans have wondered when or if Amore would return, as Cass has seemingly been directionless on WWE Raw. On”Destroyed open radio“Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca wondered what was next for Cass and if it involved his former tag team.
“The first thing that comes to mind if you bring up Enzo now, Big Cass is a failed attempt,” Bully Ray said.
La Greca said WWE needs to bring in someone to remind Big Cass of who he is as Cass has only one victory on “Raw”. Bully Ray claimed he didn’t know if the crowd would remember them enough to play his old voice that ended them in the first place.
“If they brought Enzo in now, it would be, ‘We’ve got to save this guy, and the only way we’re going to save him is to put him back with this other guy,'” he said. “When Enzo and Cas first came on the scene, to me they were equals. Enzo, the guy who can talk. Cass, the guy who can kick your a**. I would no longer see them as equals.”
The hosts agreed that they might not be able to capture the “lightning in a bottle” that the team once had. LaGreca said it’s a different audience now and some fans will remember the team, but as Bully Ray said, the rest of the WWE Universe “would need a reprogramming.”
