Professional boxing and wrestling fans are in a state of confusion today following the announcement that WWE Hall of Famers Mike Tyson and Ric Flair will be coming out of retirement to compete at WrestleMania, possibly in 2030.
Tyson, who has been almost completely undefeated in boxing recently to Logan Paul’s idiot brother, will be 64 years old when he takes on Flair, who would have just celebrated his 105th birthday.
While WWE has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, Flair reportedly confirmed the news, loudly and slurred, to a group of irritated patrons who tried to ignore him at the Delta VIP lounge at the Charlotte airport.
Wrestler vs boxer matches are rare, but not unprecedented. Longtime fans will remember the five-star match between Muhammad Ali and Antonio Inoki, which Ali won via a corkscrew moonsault.
Netflix is reportedly planning a three-part documentary series to promote the game that will trick audiences into thinking the match won’t be dull and dreary.
