The Trail Blazers signed Kaylan Boone, Samson Johnson and Mark Armstrong to put up 10 contracts, Joe Freeman of The Oregonian tweets.
After going undrafted in 2025, Boone spent most of last season with the Zerofees Southland Sharks of the NBL. He also had a brief stint in the NBA’s G League with the South Bay Lakers. Boone, a forward, played five seasons in college — three with Oklahoma State and one each with Pacific and UNLV.
The 6’10” Johnson played four years at UConn, winning two national championships in 2023 and 2024. Johnson went undrafted in 2025 and spent last season in the G League with the Noblesville Boom, the Pacers’ affiliate. He averaged 9.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in 21 minutes per game.
The Rip City Remix, Portland Branch, recently purchased returning player rights to Armstrong. He was not drafted out of Villanova in 2024. The 6’2″ guard played in 80 G League games over the past two seasons, including 49 with the Texas Legends last season. He averaged 11.9 points and 2.8 assists in 20.5 minutes per contest with the Legends.
According to Freeman, this trio has a remix ticket. They will receive bonuses of up to $91,000 if they stay with the remix for at least 60 days.
