Bally’s Corp. and BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing bring their latest Fightnight event to Mississippi on Friday, Oct. 23, combining professional bare knuckle boxing with technology that measures punches and delivers real-time stats to spectators and television viewers.
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi event is part of an expanding partnership combining Bally’s casino properties, sports technology and media distribution, the companies announced Wednesday.
Bally’s and BKB are expanding their partnership to bare-knuckle boxing with a fight card on October 23rd in Biloxi
The collaboration focuses on Bally’s patented ForceIQ impact tracking technology, which uses sensors embedded in fighters’ armbands to measure impact speed, recoil speed, impact type and G-force. The companies say the information will appear on arena screens and broadcasts, along with fighter rankings, punch distributions and other statistics.
The technology will not affect the official fight score, according to the announcement.
“Bally’s has always been about creating experiences you can’t get anywhere else. We own the place, we built the technology, and we control the distribution. It’s a 360-year partnership that few companies in this space can offer, and we’re excited to build on that,” said Bally Chairman Soo Kim.
In the main event, former BKB lightweight champion Jarod “Kid Gatti” Grant (8-3, six knockouts) will play Luis “Pantera” Guerrero (1-1, one knockout), replacing the previously scheduled opponent. Bekhzod Usmanov.
