UFC 332 An action-packed night of fights went down last night (Sat., Oct. 3, 2026) at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a UFC record 11 knockouts, nine of which came in the first round. In the main event of the night Natalia Silva become the new undisputed women’s flyweight champion Wang Cong by unanimous decision, which was a pretty lackluster fight. At the joint main event Payton Talbott completely steamed Deiveson Figueiredo in the very first round thanks to the impressive performance of the rising star (highlights here).
Biggest winner: Payton Talbott
Talbott defeated his second former world champion in as many fights last night after destroying Figueiredo in the first round by technical knockout (TKO).. Before that, he took out the former “champion” Henry Cejudo by unanimous decision, making him 6-1 in his young UFC career. His performance last night is a great opportunity to put him on the fast track to a Top 10 ranking that will lead to bigger and better fights. The 28-year-old is on the rise to stardom. He just needs to continue to perform at this level consistently enough to get him to the big dance. He called for a fight back Sean O’Malleyand that’s not a bad call.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t give Silva his props, as the Brazilian finished the event dominating (though not overly exciting) performance against Wang Congtaking home a unanimous decision win that also earned her the vacant women’s flyweight world title. He joins now Amanda Nunes and Mackenzie Dern as three Brazilian women to hold UFC titles at the same time, a first for the promotion. Silva is 9-0 undefeated in the Octagon and is still waiting for a chance to fight one day. Valentina Shevchenko.
Honorable Mention: Esteban Ribovics and Roman Kopylov
Ribovics secured his second consecutive knockout win last night after dominating and eventually finishing King Green in the very first round (highlights). Green has long been known as one of the most durable fighters under the UFC banner, but Ribovics easily dominated him last night, knocking him down a whopping three times in four minutes before being taken out. It was one of, if not the best performance of his career so far, and it will likely move him closer to the top 15. As for Kopylov, he did not understand the leap of his opponent, Ateba Gautierwhen the 35-year-old Russian took it to him and knocked him out just three minutes into the fight, ending his undefeated run in the Octagon (see it again here). Kopylov has now won two consecutive losses Paulo Costa and Gregory Rodrigues.
Biggest losers: Marvin Vettori and Rafael dos Anjos
While it was a great night for all the up and coming talent, we can’t say the same for the old guard. Vettori suffered his fifth straight loss after coming up short Ismail Naurdievdropping him to 1-6 in his last seven fights Roman Dolidze three years ago. It’s a drastic decline for the former middleweight title contender and leaves him at a crucial point in his career. Speaking of falls, dos Anjos last tasted victory in 2022, losing four straight fights after that, including his defeat by knockout in hand Alexander Hernandez last night. “RDA” was a former world lightweight champion, but those days are so far gone that there’s no telling how much longer the 41-year-old Brazilian bomber plans to keep fighting.
