Biggest Winners, Loser From UFC Vegas 122

UFC Vegas 122 went down last night (Saturday, October 10, 2026) at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, which saw Brendan Allen to suffocate Christian Leroy Duncan in the fifth and final round (see it here) in its main regulation. Evening at the joint main event Jai Herbert defeated Matheus Camilo by unanimous decision.

Biggest winner: Brendan Allen

Allen passed a huge test on his way to a title shot, winning his fourth straight fight defeating Leroy Duncan in the final round. It’s a great big step for “All In,” who always seems to come up short when he’s on the cusp of a championship breakthrough. Now, I’m not saying this automatically puts him in the driver’s seat, but it could at least set him up for his next title elimination fight against a Top 5 foe. One more win and Allen could finally find himself invited to the big dance.

Just when you think Fili is on the last leg of his career after 13 years of promotion, he goes out and delivers an epic performance from a knockout of the year candidatedestroying Kai Kamaka III via headbutt (see it here). Fili snaps a two-fight winning streak, gets a news contract in his UFC career, and leaves fat post-combat bonus check. He can rise in age and fights. but Fili showed once again that you can’t count him out in any fight. Now, if he can string together a couple of wins in a row, he could earn himself a spot in the Top 15.

Biggest Loser: Malcolm Wellmaker

A once-promising prospect who bounced back-to-back wins by first round knockout has taken another stumble. Indeed, Wellmaker had a torrid start to his UFC career, but has now dropped three in a row, with his latest loss coming in devastating fashion. Otari Tanzilovwho knocked him out in the second round (see it again here). The 32-year-old is at a crossroads in his career, and it’s unknown if he’ll get the chance to do so in the Octagon. Where it went wrong for him is unclear, but he doesn’t look like the guy who once gave people hope for a new UFC star.
