It could be argued that Dunnhausen was overexposed to WWE programming after his success in the mainstream sports media following his NBA title snub over the New York Knicks, but WWE did a good job of getting back with the hero during the Halloween season. It was a good call, as Dannhausen has ever so slightly updated himself, and he knocked it out of the park during his hosting duties during Halloween week. Since hosting “WWE NXT” Halloween Mayhem his own terrifying YouTube special, it was the perfect use of Danhausen.
The Halloween theme was left out of “WWE Raw” and “WWE NXT,” but WWE gave Dunnhausen his own “Very cute, very evil especially for HalloweenTuesdays on YouTube. Fans could walk out of the show if they wanted, but there wasn’t much Dunnhausen thrown in their faces earlier in the week on a regular weekly schedule. The show featured a number of gruesome match replays from different eras of WWE, as well as acts from the likes of The Boogeyman and Papa Shango. For a stupid show on YouTube.
It edition of “WWE SmackDown” hosted by Dunnhausen came next, with some innocuous behind-the-scenes segments involving the star. WWE even surprisingly brought back the seemingly forgotten Dunnhausen experience. While they could have left the zombie gingerbread man “revived” by Dunnhausen and pulled in a Lil Yachty and Trick Williams segment, the actual “experiment” actually ended up helping the story further.
Dunnhausen and GUNTER have been doing segments together in recent weeks, and when Dunnhausen took the stage to reveal his surprise, GUNTER beat him to the punch. After the long segment about the Minnie Hausens, the “body” near the Dunnhausen was; “The Demon” was revealed to be Finn Balorwho took care of the “Ring General”.
Halloween Havoc, first held during that holiday, was also hosted in Dunnhausen. He had a “spin the wheel, make a deal” that created Too Good, Too Bad, or, no disqualification, to go nowhere, matched up with Zillah Fatu and Charlie Dempsey, and he had several performances throughout the night that didn’t overstay their welcome or overshadow the stars of “NXT.”
WWE did a great job of using Dunnhausen throughout Halloween week without it being too much. His hosting duties even allowed him to carry on an actual story or two, which was unexpected for a comedic character. Between all of her appearances and the “Funhausens” sharing their skimpy outfits on social media, it’s been a pretty good week to be “Very Good, Very Wicked.”
