September 22 – The Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) hosted representatives of more than 50 companies belonging to the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) at the National Football Base in Boyana.
As an official member of BBLF, the BFU organized the event to foster sustainable dialogue and build long-term partnerships with leading figures in the Bulgarian economy.
The visit was part of the Meet BBLF Success series, which highlights the achievements, innovations and corporate social responsibility efforts of member organizations. BFU President Georgi Ivanov welcomed the attendees, noting the shared values between sport and business.
“Football is much more than a game. It reaches hundreds of thousands of children and families, unites communities and builds character, discipline, respect and belonging. We believe there is a natural link between football and responsible business, focused on investing in Bulgaria’s youth and future,” said Ivanov.
After opening remarks, BFU executive director Andrey Petrov, executive committee member Teodor Todorov and youth football development director Luchezar Dimov outlined the union’s strategic vision. Presentations focused on youth development, training coaches, modernizing infrastructure and integrating sports training with education.
The guests also learned about the holistic approach of the BFU Academy, which combines sports preparation with personal development and educational support. The event concluded with open discussions between BFU leadership and corporate executives, laying the groundwork for future joint initiatives focused on youth empowerment and social impact.
