Only a few days left WWE Money in the Bank takes over New Orleans, Louisianaand the big question on everyone’s mind is who will end up with the bag in both the men’s and women’s money-in-the-bank games. At this point, there appear to be two creative favorites for both matches. Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful reports that those favorites are none other than Penta and Braun Breaker in the men’s match and Roxanne Perez and Lash Legend in the women’s match.
While Penta, who was previously described as a “heavy favorite” to win MITBIn the men’s match, and Breaker seems to be the obvious choice, another name may be considered. Another source says WWE previously considered WWE United States Champion Trick Williams to win the match. it’s unclear how far back those plans go and whether WWE still views Williams as the winner. Aside from Perez and Legend, there are no other potential favorites for the women’s match.
As for the chances of CM Punk or Kevin Owens in the men’s match, neither are considered likely to win the contract, in part due to their ongoing feud with WWE Undisputed Champion Sami Zayn on SmackDown. People close to the situation believe that WWE is looking to keep as many challenges for Zayn as possible, as Punk and Owens are already considered top contenders for the title. To that end, there is some belief that whoever wins the Men’s Money Bank match can make or stay on SmackDown, as the winner can be added to the SmackDown title picture, “juicing history.”
