Two WWE stars who haven’t been used much on main roster television lately could reportedly be headed for a tag team run. According to False Finish in X (formerly Twitter), there have been discussions within WWE creative about a pairing between Ivy Nile and Jordin Grace. The report was later confirmed by Fightful Select, who claim that the vignettes for the pair were filmed over the summer “with the hope that they will air in September”. Sources at Fightful also linked a potential new tag team to WWE’s Iron Built brand.
Both Neal and Grace competed in the WWE Main Event, with Neal winning last time out. the just released PJ Vasa on August 3, and Grace lost to Kiana James on June 12. Grace had a grudge match against Blake Monroe on the May 15 edition of WWE SmackDown, and her last televised match came before WWE WrestleMania 42, where she lost the United States Women’s Championship in a No. 1 Streton match.
Niall’s last main event appearance was on WWE Raw in March. For the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, she competed in a shot against Asuka, IYO SKY, Raquel Rodriguez, and Lyra Valkyrie, a match that was ultimately won by Bayley. Last week’s report Fighting Select it was revealed that plans were being prepared for the Nileand for him “a great change” was coming.
