October 16: The Australian A-Leagues have appointed Champion Data as the official broadcast graphics provider for the men’s and women’s competitions under a three-season deal commencing with the 2026-27 campaign, which begins on Friday.
Champion Data will provide on-screen graphics, including real-time data and statistics, for matches shown on Network 10 and Paramount+. He will be responsible for the entire process, from the development of graphics packages and templates to technical integration and matchday production support.
“As our audience continues to grow, Champion Data’s expertise in data integration and graphics visualization will help deliver an even richer viewership proposition for our fans,” said Toby Sinclair, head of broadcasting for the A-Leagues.
“As part of the partnership, we are also excited to elevate the A-League Women’s broadcast experience, aligning it with the Men’s A-League, as we continue to increase the reach and visibility of the women’s game.”
Tony Woods, Chief Commercial Officer, Champion Data, said: “Broadcast graphics play an important role in helping fans follow the action and connect with a match’s story. Our focus will be on bringing creative to life through reliable data integration, production-ready graphics and experienced matchday support.”
Champion Data also works with the AFL, World Netball, LIV Golf, Golf Australia, ESPN and the ATP Tour.
The deal comes alongside the A-Leagues’ media rights deal with Paramount, which was renewed in May until 2028-29 with what the leagues described as an increase. All men’s and women’s games are on Paramount+, with one men’s game each week live and free on Network 10, and all A-League Women’s games on the 10’s streaming service. Paramount+ also includes highlights and full replays.
By the end of 2028-2029, Paramount’s partnership will have lasted eight years.
