Aston Villa i Brentford They shared the points in an entertaining 2-2 draw at Villa Park, with Kristoffer Ajer netting the final equalizer just two minutes after John McGinn had put the home side ahead.
Brentford made the stronger start and took the lead on 10 minutes when Tyrone Mings conceded possession and Yehor Yarmoliuk fired a powerful effort into the bottom corner.
However, Villa responded just 88 seconds later. McGinn headed forward before Emiliano Buendia’s blocked shot fell kindly for Nicolas Jackson, who converted from close range.
Unai Emery’s side grew into the game and created several chances before the break, with Johan Manzambi twice denied in the attack.
