Arsenal defender Emily Fox has signed a new contract with the club.
The 28-year-old joined the Gunners from North Carolina Courage in January 2024 and has made 93 appearances, scoring three goals.
She was nominated for the Ballon d’Or in 2025.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sky SportsUS international Fox said: “It was easy – I love the club.
“I’m being challenged in a competitive environment and it’s my second home. A very easy decision to want to stay.
“I have a mentality to get better and try more. I am always hungry as a player and I am driven towards excellence. When I play with the best players in the world, there are many things I can learn.
“I want to push myself and in an environment where I’m challenged, there’s consistency every day and it goes with it. I want to be even more consistent to prove myself.”

Tying Emily Fox down to a new contract was something Arsenal have wanted to do for a while. It’s easy to see why. The American has been one of the most consistent full-backs in the league since joining in 2024.
She is a modern full-back, but in the most traditional sense. By that I mean she runs the channels with intelligence, a constant source of energy and attacking threat, but doesn’t shy away from her defensive duties. The view of reliability in both directions.
What I particularly like is how progressive she is in possession, always looking to pass forward and someone who rarely gives the ball away.
