Heading to TNA Bound For GloryThe new X-Division Champion was to be crowned in a six-way match. As a last-minute surprise, however, newly-inducted TNA Hall of Famer Amazing Red joined the fray and went on to win the gold for himself.
The full lineup for tonight’s X-Division Championship match was: Fabian Eichner, CS Navarro, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Ryan Nemeth, BDI and Amazing Red. Nemeth started the action by trying to shake everyone’s hand, only to eat a punch from Navarro. Multiple competitors were then knocked out of the ring, leaving Alexander and Swann alone to battle for a moment. Alexander delivered a pair of hurricanrana followed by a German suplex and a double dropkick.
Back in the ring, Eichner lifted BDE and Swann onto his shoulders for a double slam before landing a moonsault on BDE. Moments later, Eichner took a headbutt from Red, as did Alexander and BDE. The latter answered Red with a springboard and a code distributor. BDE and Swann worked together to further neutralize Red, then Swann cannonballed Nemeth to the outside.
At the end of the match, Eichner threw Red and Alexander with crazy. When BDE then tried to wipe out Eichner with a dive through the ropes, he was caught and slammed to the floor instead. Next, Navarro gave the Sheep a blessing in disguise. However, before he could strike, Nemeth pulled the referee out of the ring; Navarro immediately responded by taking Nemeth down with a dive. Back in the ring, Red landed a big boot on Navarro, who he looked to follow up with a code red off the top turnbuckle. Navarro managed to escape, but not for long as they met again and went down with a Spanish Fly. Red was followed by the successful Code Red, who began his fourth career X-Division Championship.
