Alex Pereira questions Ciryl Gane’s UFC resume as the heavyweight title picture changes
Pereira shared a post on Instagram with a picture questioning Gane’s UFC record. He captioned his post: “Champion,” followed by three laughing emojis.
The post referenced Gane’s previous heavyweight title losses Francis Ngannou and Jon Jonesas well as his controversial victory Alexander Volkov in a rematch that many tipped in favor of the Russian. It also highlighted Pereira’s own loss to Gane, where “Poatan” claims several illegal shots to the back of the head were taken.
Josh Hockey is rumored to be Gane’s next opponent. The undefeated American has shut down any chance of Pereira getting the next title. He reacted to a recent photo of Pereira smiling alongside UFC chief Hunter Campbell, claiming the former two-division champion is not in the running for heavyweight gold.
