September 10 – President of the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) Armand Duka received Paolo Zampolli, special envoy for global partnerships of the United States President Donald Trump, for an official meeting in Tirana.
The visit was part of a wider diplomatic tour by the US representative to Albania, during which he held talks with state institutions, political leaders and public figures.
The core of the discussion focused on sports diplomacy and the power of football to strengthen international relations and build bridges between nations. During the meeting, President Duka briefed the US representative on the evolution of national football in recent years, detailing the modern transformation of sports infrastructure and high organizational standards across the country.
In this context, both leaders highlighted the strategic importance of Albania’s representation in global football governance, where Armand Duka holds prominent leadership positions as UEFA Vice-President, UEFA Executive Committee Member and FIFA Member Associations Committee Member.
After the discussion, special envoy Paolo Zampolli visited the “House of Football”, the modern sports complex of the FSHF in Tirana. Zampolli toured the state-of-the-art facilities and expressed high praise for the federation’s investment and overall infrastructure standards. The site currently serves as the main center for administrative operations, youth development and football education in the country.
“The meeting reaffirmed the growing role of sport as an effective instrument for international cooperation and national representation on the global stage,” FSHF said.
