Kofi and Austin Creed have been integral parts of WWE as The New Day for years, and the two (along with Big E) have been big merchandise movers for the promotion. Kofi and Creed leaving WWE It was especially surprising because of that, but according to the AEW World Trios Champions, they weren’t worried about being fired.

Because of this, they’ve never worried that they won’t be able to make a living off of their popularity in the gaming and anime spaces.
“So for those 90 days, it was really nice to just do what we wanted to do, be our own bosses,” Creed pointed out, adding that they also got to spend a lot of time with their families and still occasionally show up at conventions.
Coffey then weighed in, sharing how their experiences can serve as a useful lesson for other wrestlers. “I think for me it’s like. Do you have any interests outside of wrestling, you know what I mean?” he explained, while clarifying that he didn’t mean that wrestlers shouldn’t focus on their careers. “But life also has a lot. And, you know, having a family is the greatest thing in life for me.”
