The meeting works in two stages. Eight AEW stars will be in attendance to kick off the bout with both men. After three minutes, another performer will enter until all eight men are in, but if someone is pinned or forced to submit but the final enters the match, they are officially eliminated. When the last contestant enters, the second round of the match begins as the remaining contestants compete in a 15-minute Iron Man Match where every fall counts. The person down the most at the end of 15 minutes will win and walk away from WrestleDream as the AEW World Champion.
However, there is no guarantee that Osprey will even be in the match as he will be making his second AEW World Championship defense this Tuesday at AEW Grand Slam France. Ospreay will take on Kazuchika Okada for the title, with the winner moving to WrestleDream and attempting to defend the title in a new contract match. As for who the opponents will be, Clockwork Carnage’s first qualifying match will also take place in Paris as Samoa Joe takes on Jack Perry. The rest of the field will be revealed ahead of the big event on October 17th.
