As the calendar year draws to a close, so does Ring of Honor’s biggest event of the year, the Final Battle. ROH’s December event has been a staple of the wrestling calendar since 2002, and this year it will take place in San Antonio, Texas.
While there has been no official announcement from All Elite Wrestling at the time of writing, the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio began advertising that ROH Final Battle 2026 will take place on Friday, December 4th. Tickets go on sale October 16th at 11AM ET, 10AM CT, with an expected announcement from AEW expected in the coming days.
Typically with AEW’s schedule, the venue where Final Battle takes place will often have an episode of “AEW Collision” the following day, which in this case is Saturday, December 5th, a date that has not yet been listed on AEW’s official website. AEW will already be in Texas that week as the Dec. 2 episode of AEW Dynamite takes place in Laredo before the entire roster heads south of the border to Mexico for the “Winter Is Coming” TV specials in Monterrey.
Since Tony Khan bought the Ring of Honor back in 2022, Final Battle has hosted some very memorable moments. That same year, FTR and The Briscoes wrapped up their trilogy of ROH World Tag Team Championship matches. With a fierce Double Dog Collar match, while Athena dethroned Mercedes Martinez to become the ROH Women’s World Champion. Since then, Athena has headlined every Final Battle event, defending her title twice against her protégé Billy Starks, while defeating Persephone at last year’s event. If Athena retains her title at Final Battle before the end of the year, she will become the first champion in ROH history to hold any title for four consecutive years.
