Adam Copeland became one of WWE’s house stars during the Attitude Era, going on to have incredible success as Edge and eventually becoming a WWE Hall of Famer after his forced retirement (and subsequent retirement). As of 2023, however, Copeland has signed a contract with AEW, where he has continued his career, won titles, and had the opportunity to fulfill some of his childhood dreams.
“At this point in my career, it’s so deep that I still have things to follow, I think that keeps you young,” Copeland said in an interview.Daily Faceoff“After asking about his recent appearance at the Maple Leaf Pro. Copeland grew up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and he often announced that he saw his first game live at Maple Leaf Gardens. “Performing in these places, which I never thought could happen, especially when I was retired.”
Copeland has shared a list of his venues on social media, especially over the past few years, but added that once he returns to WWE in 2020, he seriously doubts he’ll ever get the chance to perform at these venues. which included Arena Mexico, Wembley or the Tokyo Dome. “Moving to AEW, then all of a sudden it became an opportunity, and now, in one calendar month, to be able to do Arena Mexico, to be able to do Wembley Stadium, and now to be able to do Maple Leaf Gardens. It’s just amazing to me.”
The veteran went on to say that these experiences are what kept him “burnt” on his current run, and while he continues to cross places off his bucket list, he still thinks the experience was a blast.
