“Beast Boy” is officially 1-0 on the competitive face show.
Somewhere between martial arts and a bad decision outside a bar at 2am, Chris Barnett is officially the winner of Power Slap.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight fan favorite made his advertising debut against Jake Logan at Power Slap 23 tonight (Thursday, September 17, 2026) at Texas Tech University’s United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas. And although many people still willingly watch Dana White‘s silly slap-fight sideshow, “Beast Boy,” delivered a surprisingly entertaining performance.
Logan won the toss and struck first, slapping Barnet clean across the face. Barnett swallowed it without too much trouble and prepared to return fire, but Logan flinched on the first attempt, giving the former UFC fighter another chance.
Logan managed to survive Barnett’s second blow, allowing the brain cell exchange to continue.
Barnett took another slap in the second round before unleashing one of the best shots of the match. The blow rocked Logan, but it wasn’t enough to put him down, meaning viewers were treated to a second round of two heavyweights standing perfectly still and punching each other in the face.
By the third round, Barnett seemed to be enjoying himself. “Beast Boy” swallowed Logan’s last slap and immediately laughed in his opponent’s face, showing little concern for what he had just eaten. Barnett then landed his final punch, but Logan stood again.
With neither man knocked unconscious, the contest went to the judges, who awarded Barnett a unanimous decision victory with three identical scores, 29-28.
Barnett apologized afterwards for not being able to secure the knockout, admitting he needs to work harder on his slapping. The 40-year-old fan favorite has vowed to call it quits at his next gig, meaning he’ll stick with Powerslap.
The win continues Barnett’s post-UFC run through the strangest corners of combat sports. After leaving the UFC following back-to-back losses, “Beast Boy” returned to the win column with a 61-second knockout Karate Combat under the banner before removing the gloves – and pretty much every other recognizable fighting element – for the Power Slap.
But hey, a win is a win. Even if it comes from standing perfectly still and taking turns giving another grown man a whack with an open hand.
