LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Sparks and Atlanta Dream were subjected to a playoff during their matchup at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday night.
During the third quarter of the Dream’s 124-88 win, a green sex toy was thrown onto the court by a spectator, which brought back memories of last season’s spate of missiles thrown onto the court at WNBA games.
Dream striker Angel Reese quickly pointed out the perpetrator from his seat on the bench, and the spectator was taken into custody by arena security.
The middle of the 2025 WNBA season was marked by several incidents of green sex toys being thrown onto the court during the game.
The incidents began in late July at a Dream game and continued over the next week, including once at a Sparks game. The trend soon died down and it was thought so associated with a specific memecoin.
