Rugby Australia has released the list of home Wallabies tests ahead of the men’s Rugby World Cup 2027, with the Aussies to do battle Argentina twice and biggest rivals New Zealand to open the next edition of The Rugby Championship.
It was confirmed on 27 June that the Wallabies will begin their international season with the historic Anzac Day Bledisloe Cup Test against All black peoplewhich will be played at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on April 25.
But RA gave fans more to look forward to ahead of the World Cup, with the Wallabies hosting Los Cougars in two tests next July. The sides will renew their rivalry with a match on July 10 at Allianz Stadium in Sydney and another test in Townsville a week later.
The Wallabies will then play the All Blacks at a venue to be confirmed on July 31. The two sides will meet again during the Rugby World Cup after being drawn in the same pool for the first time in the tournament’s 40-year history.
The Kiss’ Wallabies will then head overseas to face the All Blacks again and take on World Cup winners the Springboks twice. The final clash between the Wallabies and the Boks, who met last weekend in Perth, will be the 100th.th meeting between the parties.
Australia continues its preparations for the World Cup by playing Ireland at GIO Stadium in Canberra on September 18. It will be the first Wallabies Test played in the capital in a decade and will also mark 100 years since the teams first met.
“From the inaugural Anzac Day Bledisloe Cup Test match to the Rugby World Cup final, Australian fans in 2027 will be at the center of the biggest celebration of the international game in its 155-year history,” said Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh.

“The last Rugby World Cup in Australia in 2003 inspired the whole nation as the Wallabies battled to the very last second of the tournament. A lot has happened in the years since, but the honor of representing Australia burns as bright as ever. We can’t wait to see our fans in stadiums across Australia in 2027 and be proud of the performances.”
Harry Wilson famously deflected a shot off the post, opting instead for a corner when the Wallabies last faced Los Pumas at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. Angus Bell scored the match winner in the final game.
The Wallabies remain unbeaten on the field, having achieved a dominant win against Japan’s Brave Blossoms this year. They backed up that result with their first win of the series away to Argentina, which included a thrilling 28 draw in Mendoza.

Queensland Environment and Tourism Minister Andrew Powell added: “The Crisafulli Government continues to cement Queensland’s reputation as the capital of Australia by delivering world-class sporting events that benefit communities across the state.
“Securing the first Anzac Day Bledisloe Cup for Brisbane was a great win, but we are equally focused on securing Queensland’s regional share in the opportunities that come with hosting world-class sport.
“Bringing Argentina to Townsville demonstrates our commitment to increasing the number of events in Queensland across the state. These matches will attract visitors, support businesses and showcase Queensland to a national and international audience as we approach the 2027 Rugby World Cup.”
