2026 INDYCAR Odds: Alex Palou Heavy Favorite At Laguna Seca

The confetti has already fallen for Alex Palou, who secured his fifth INDYCAR title and fourth straight in Milwaukee.

However, one more race remains on the INDYCAR schedule before the 2026 season ends.

This weekend, the series heads to Laguna Seca for the Mission Foods Monterey Grand Prix on Sunday, September 6 at 2:30pm ET (FOX).

Will reigning champion Alex Palou add another exclamation point to his already dazzling record or should they keep their eyes on another driver?

Here are the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of September 6th.

Favorite

Alex Palou’s 2026 could get sweeter if he gets in the Winner’s Circle at Laguna Seca.

This weekend should be relatively pleasant for Alex Palou because, no matter what happens on the track, he has already wrapped up the 2026 INDYCAR championship. His path to his fifth INDYCAR title (and fourth straight) was paved with eight poles, six wins and 673 laps led. When the series took place here in July 2025, Palou entered the Winner’s Circle, holding off Christian Lundgaard (second) and Colton Herta (third).

One to watch

Will Pato O’Ward end the year with another win?

Pato O’Ward enters this weekend having swept both races in Milwaukee. His electric run in the Midwest was just what he needed to add some sparkle to an otherwise disappointing year. Before the streak stopped at the Milwaukee Mile, Pato had just one more win under his hood this season and he came to Mid-Ohio. Last year at this track, O’Ward just missed the podium, finishing fourth.
