The first ever Biltmore Asheville Championship it comes to a close on Sunday at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove, and with a packed standings heading into the final round, there’s no telling who will come out on top.
For the trio in the final group of Neal Shipley, Ben Kohl’s and Eric Cole, Sunday represents the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream. Shipley, a PGA Tour rookie and former US amateur champion, is looking for his first win in his young career and hopes to use Sunday as a statement that he is one of the best of the game’s next crop of young stars. While for journalists Kohles and Cole, a victory would validate years of grinding to finally break through to the highest level of the game.
If any of that trio hopes to lift the trophy on Sunday afternoon, they will have to hold off a host of capable competitors, including 2026 Tour winners Jacob Bridgeman and Jackson Koivun, among others.
For whoever comes out on top on Sunday, a check for nearly $1 million will be their prize. Not bad for a week’s work.
