WWE Money In The Bank 2026: Biggest Winners & Losers

WWE returned to New Orleans, LA on Saturday for the 2026 edition of Money In The Bank. It was a night of crazy falls and car crash ladder games. There has already been a detailed account of what happened which can be found here WWE Money In The Bank 2026 Results Pageand the staff at Wrestling Inc. have already explained what they like and what they’re not done with The Money In The Bank Loved & Hated column.

Now it’s down to the winners and losers of Saturday’s show. The winners were obvious, like Mr. Money In The Bank Penta or Je’Von Evans, while the losers were a little more subtle, like Roman Reigns or Tiffany Stratton. I’ll explain as the column continues. The comments section will be open for your own selection of winners and losers.

Let’s find out who looked good and who didn’t on Saturday.

Winner: Jevon Evans

Jevon Evans is going to live forever. Sometimes a ladder match gets a hair-raising idea of immortality, and Jevon Evans throwing himself off a ladder through the roof of an ambulance will be one of those images that will live on in wrestling eternity.

It was a crazy character. Evans really made an impression in his first and probably not last entry in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. He is a profoundly unhealthy young man who does not seem to care for the well-being of his own body. He will go far in these matches.

Wrestling is a weird genre because it makes you root for things like young Evans nearly ending his short life trying to entertain the fans, but I’m just not ethically strong enough to not cheer and cheer as he puts his life on the line. He’s a right nut for WWE.

Loser: Roman Rings

I am, quite simply, tired of Roman Reigns, and judging by Saturday’s reaction, most of the WWE Universe is, too. LA Knight is not an electric star. He’s a very serviceable talent who has amassed a pretty strong, loyal following.

On Saturday, Knight drew the crowd with just the right mix of cult appeal and Roman Reigns fatigue that you could tell the room wanted Knight to find to steal the title. Reigns’ inevitable showdown with Oba Femi is still months away, and the company is spinning its wheels so much that Knight has become a legitimate contender. I feel like Knight is loved simply because he’s not Roman Reigns.

Reigns is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Wrestling tired of him, so he went to Hollywood, which brought him back to wrestling. He’s an incredible valley star, not well-known enough to be mainstream, too ubiquitous in WWE, and Saturday’s performance just cemented that in my eyes.

Winner: Penta

Penta feels like one of the few wrestlers who could realistically dethrone Roman Reigns. There was a brief moment when it looked like he might beat the world heavyweight champion in Mexico City, but it wasn’t to be. However, Penta helped put on one of Reigns’ best matches ever, and on Saturday, WWE made it clear how much they appreciate his efforts.

It looks like Penta could be a big time man, and a win at Money In The Bank promises that that moment won’t be going away anytime soon. It was a win that had me audibly saying “Wow, good for him!” on my couch.

Simply put, Penta has been too popular for too long not to have a moment like this. The match was filled with Bron Breakers and the Trick Williamses of the world were due to start at any moment, but after flying under the radar for so long, Penta is getting his time in the spotlight.

Loser: Tiffany Stretton (and entire Women’s MITB match)

The Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match was one of the most unfocused, unpolished MITB matches I’ve ever seen. There are women diving off ladders that barely catch on as they crash into the floor below, haphazardly assembled ladder bridges that nearly send wrestlers down to the hospital, and in the end, they seem to have chosen the least interesting choice for a winner.

We’ve done Tiffany Stratton/Money In The Bank before and it went about as well as it can, but I just don’t get the 2024 nachos warm-up. The fact that he won such a shambolic game is salt in the wound.

As always, I hope Stratton is wrong. I hope to eat my words when she cashes in, but this was the moment to really make a new star out of the other women in the match. Of course, there’s always next year, but that’s a long time away, and until then, the makeup of who should have won this year will confuse who should win next year. It starts to snowball. I hope I get eaten by a crow by WrestleMania.
