Real American Freestyle, promotion founded in part by WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff and the late Hulk Hogan in 2025 announced the major purchase on social media on Thursday. The RAF went to X (formerly Twitter) to discover it has acquired the World of Wrestling.
With the purchase of World of Wrestling, RAF acquired the Tulsa Nationals, Reno Worlds and the Kickoff Classic. The tournaments are three of the most notable tournaments for young amateur wrestlers in the country, the promotion highlighted in its social media announcement.
“If you grew up wrestling, you know what these tournaments mean,” the post reads. “Road trips with your family. Nerves before your first game. The trophy you still have. The Roller family has built something that generations of wrestlers carry with them. We’re excited to work alongside them and build on what makes these tournaments so special.”
The promotion has yet to announce what the acquisition means for the future of future tournaments. The next RAF event will be held in Abu Dhabi on November 14. The main event will feature a championship match between UAE’s Khamzat Chimaev and United States’ Colby Covington.
