I think he can be very good in the NBA” Edwards said of Williams.”His care quotient needs to go up a bit more just by showing it like everyone knows he cares but is just showing it off. If you get pulled over, let someone know. … Also, he brings intensity every day. His defense is unbelievable.”
  • Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch offered a second-round pick on Saturday Isaiah Evans has some work to do if he wants to get rotation minutes as a rookie, according to Dukowitz (Link to video on Twitter). “He was good. I think he’s definitely trying to impress” said Finch.Like most young players, his mistakes come from trying to do too much right now. His defense should be at the level we expect from our guys. But again, these are normal growing pains for someone on day four of NBA training camp.”
  • Finch said the full starting lineup will play in Monday’s preseason game, adding that he expects to use that group enough during the preseason to get them used to playing with each other. tweets John Krawczynski of The Athletic.
