The Wizards signed a contract with the guard as a free agent Alondes Williams to the Annex 10 contract, the team announced today (via Twitter).
By moving forward/center accordingly Shawl Labissiere was canceled.
Williams, who went undrafted out of Wake Forest in 2022, has bounced between the NBA and the G League over the past four years, spending time with the Nets, Heat, Pistons and Wizards, as well as their respective NBAGL affiliates.
The 6-foot-4 guard has only played 13 times at the NBA level, but he earned rotation minutes during a 10-day deal with Washington this February, averaging 11.0 points per game on .615/.357/.875 shooting in four appearances off the bench. That stretch included 25 points and 10 rebounds in a win against Indiana on Feb. 20.
Williams has been a force at the G League level for the past few seasons, and he set a career high with 22.5 points per game in 35 games for the Capital City Go-Go’s in 2025/26. The 26-year-old also averaged 5.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He was named the G League’s Most Improved Player in the 2023/24 season and earned a spot on the All-NBAGL First Team.
Williams’ last contract agreement with the Wizards was reported for the first time in August.
Labissiere, who had a big year with the Go-Go’s in 2025/26, could return to the G League. He is now on track for a bonus if he spends at least 60 days in the Capital City this season.
