Highly-rated teenager Shea Lacey took just eight minutes to score on his first start for Manchester United as he opened up a 2-0 lead over Brighton in the EFL Cup.
Lacey, 19, was given the start by boss Michael Carrick and thrilled Old Trafford with a fine first goal.

United doubled their lead 46 seconds later when Mason Mount grabbed a rebound for his first goal of 2026.
Lacey was sent off against the Seagulls in January but was given a chance to impress with fellow prospect JJ Gabriel not involved.
The hugely talented 15-year-old was expected to get minutes in the EFL Cup but has instead asked to leave. united after a breakdown in relations between his family and the club, according to reports.
