The All Blacks have not toured South Africa since 1996, so they will be looking to lay down a marker as they build up to four Tests against the world champions Springboks. Although Rennie didn’t list full strength, the 23 is loaded with talent, including returners Beauden Barrett which starts halfway after missing the recent one Nations Championship. Second row Patrick Tuipulotu will skip the side.
On paper, the All Blacks should be too much for a Stormers side that reached the semi-finals of the URC. But with home advantage and a chance to make history, some players will surely see this as one of the biggest games of their lives. Can they rise to the occasion?
