Back Macs site Uncapped Scarlets is invited to Wales squad for the November round of the Nations Championship, following the withdrawal of Rio Dyer.
Dyer suffered a hamstring injury while scoring a goal against the Dragons Ospreys last Saturday and was ruled out of the tests against Japan, New Zealand and Australia in Cardiff.
Dyer, who turns 27 in December, has scored eight tries in 24 Tests for Wales since making his debut in 2022 but missed out on selection for Six Nations and the Southern Hemisphere stage of the Nations Championship, and is again on the sidelines.
Page missed out on the original squad but now has the chance to show why he has been compared to Wales legend Shane Williams.
The Pembrokeshire player stands 5’8 but is a powerful runner who has scored seven tries in a superb start to the season.
He will be the eighth Scarlet in Steve Tandy’s squad for the November series, joining Blair Murray, Ellis Mee, Eddie James, Joe Hawkins, Sam Costelow, Taine Plumtree and Ryan Elias.
Page had his own injury concerns at the weekend, after picking up a head injury against the Stormers, and will have to go through HIA return-to-play protocols before being cleared to win his first cap.
The 21-year-old can also play at outside center as well as on the wing and was a member of the Wales tour. Japan 2025, but not presented.
